Responsibility
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
- Maintain strict hygiene and sanitation standards in the kitchen, including cleaning workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Support the head chef and kitchen staff in food storage, inventory management, and waste disposal.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and healthcare facility protocols.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of dining areas for resident meal services.
- Monitor and restock kitchen supplies, reporting any shortages to the supervisor.
- Follow established recipes and portion controls to minimize waste and ensure consistency.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment in the nursing home kitchen.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen, hospitality, or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (training provided).
