Responsibility
- Assist chefs in preparing ingredients, including washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring for Indonesian and Chinese dishes.
- Support the cooking process by operating kitchen equipment and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
- Monitor and manage inventory of raw materials, ensuring stock levels are adequate and reporting shortages promptly.
- Follow standardized recipes and portion controls to maintain consistency in taste and presentation.
- Adhere to strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in compliance with restaurant policies.
- Assist in plating and garnishing dishes to meet the restaurant’s high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders during peak hours.
- Participate in kitchen setup and breakdown, including cleaning utensils, equipment, and storage areas.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (SMK in Culinary Arts is a plus).
- Passion for cooking and a strong interest in Indonesian and/or Chinese cuisine.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation, and ingredient handling.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a team-oriented mindset.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 20 kg).
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from senior kitchen staff.
- Prior experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is advantageous but not required.
- Excellent personal hygiene and commitment to workplace safety.
