Responsibility
- Prepare and review technical documentation for steel structure material requisitions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
- Assist the procurement department in evaluating technical bids, comparing vendor proposals, and recommending cost-effective solutions.
- Coordinate with site teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and adherence to project schedules.
- Conduct site inspections to verify material quality, dimensions, and installation compliance with engineering standards.
- Maintain organized records of technical drawings, material certificates, and procurement correspondence for audit and reference purposes.
- Support senior engineers in resolving technical issues related to steel structures, fabrication, and assembly processes.
- Assist in preparing progress reports, risk assessments, and cost estimates for management review.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, new materials, and construction technologies to enhance project efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in construction, steel structure design, or procurement (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail in technical documentation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Malaysian construction standards (e.g., MS, BS, or Eurocodes) is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Willingness to travel to project sites in Bintulu or other locations as needed.
