As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and clients to identify hazards, mitigate risks, and implement industry-best safety practices. Based in Denpasar, Bali, this role offers exposure to international standards (e.g., ISO, OSHA) and cutting-edge safety engineering tools, setting a strong foundation for your career in process safety.
Ideal for graduates or professionals with 1-2 years of experience in chemical, mechanical, or industrial engineering, this position combines technical rigor with hands-on fieldwork in a supportive, mentorship-driven environment.
Responsibility
- Assist in conducting HAZOP (Hazard and Operability) and HAZID (Hazard Identification) studies for oil & gas, petrochemical, and industrial facilities.
- Support the development of safety cases, risk assessments, and process safety management (PSM) documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential hazards and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Prepare technical reports, safety drawings, and compliance documentation in accordance with local and international regulations.
- Participate in site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry standards.
- Contribute to the design and review of safety instrumented systems (SIS) and emergency response plans.
- Assist in incident investigations and root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrence.
- Stay updated on emerging safety technologies, regulations, and best practices in the oil & gas sector.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in process safety, risk assessment, or a similar role (internships or academic projects count).
- Familiarity with HAZOP/HAZID methodologies and safety standards (e.g., ISO 31000, OSHA PSM).
- Basic knowledge of process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, and safety instrumentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety engineering software (e.g., PHA-Pro, BowTie) is a plus.
- Willingness to travel to project sites in Bali and occasionally other regions.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
