Responsibility
- Assist in the preparation and submission of tenders, quotations, and cost estimates for engineering and construction projects.
- Source, evaluate, and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct material takeoffs and quantity measurements from project drawings and specifications.
- Support the development of bill of quantities (BOQ) and cost breakdowns for clients.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to align cost estimates with project budgets.
- Maintain accurate records of cost data, contracts, and financial documentation.
- Assist in negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure the best pricing and terms.
- Participate in training programs to enhance technical and industry-specific knowledge.
Qualifications
- No prior experience required—full training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (fresh graduates are welcome).
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis).
- Basic understanding of construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications is a plus.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Willingness to learn industry-specific software (e.g., AutoCAD, CostX, or similar).
