Responsibility
- Execute test cases and scenarios to identify, document, and track bugs, glitches, and gameplay issues.
- Collaborate with development teams to reproduce, verify, and validate bug fixes.
- Test game functionality, including mechanics, UI/UX, audio, and performance across various devices and platforms.
- Provide clear, concise, and detailed bug reports with steps to reproduce, severity levels, and supporting media (screenshots/videos).
- Participate in playtesting sessions to evaluate game balance, difficulty, and overall player experience.
- Assist in regression testing to ensure new updates do not introduce existing issues.
- Contribute to test documentation, including test plans, checklists, and quality metrics.
- Stay updated on industry trends, gaming platforms, and QA best practices.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in QA testing, preferably in video games (internships or personal projects count).
- Strong passion for gaming with a deep understanding of different genres and platforms (PC, console, mobile).
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills to spot inconsistencies or defects.
- Familiarity with bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, Trello) and test case management systems.
- Basic knowledge of game development pipelines and terminology.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with strong communication skills.
- Proficient in English (written and verbal) for clear reporting and team coordination.
- Bonus: Experience with automation testing, scripting (Python, Lua), or Unity/Unreal Engine.
