Responsibility
- Monitor IT systems, networks, and applications 24/7 to detect and address anomalies, performance issues, or outages.
- Respond to and escalate alerts from monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds) in a timely manner.
- Perform first-level troubleshooting for hardware, software, and connectivity issues, documenting all actions taken.
- Collaborate with senior administrators and cross-functional teams to resolve complex incidents.
- Maintain accurate logs and reports of system performance, incidents, and resolutions.
- Assist in the configuration and deployment of monitoring scripts and automation tools.
- Conduct regular health checks on servers, databases, and cloud services to preempt potential failures.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure continuous coverage during off-hours and weekends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Nagios, PRTG, or Datadog is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 operational environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal) for clear incident reporting.
- Willingness to work in shift-based schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or ITIL Foundation are advantageous.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies.
