Responsibility
- Welcome and assist guests with a friendly, professional demeanor in designated onboard areas.
- Facilitate and coordinate guest activities, ensuring smooth execution and high participation.
- Provide accurate information about ship amenities, schedules, and port destinations.
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and courteously.
- Collaborate with the hospitality team to maintain a clean, organized, and inviting environment.
- Assist in event setup and breakdown, including equipment and material preparation.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and report feedback to senior staff for continuous improvement.
- Uphold Holland America Line’s service standards and brand values in all interactions.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in hospitality, customer service, or a related field (cruise industry experience is a plus).
- Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, Dutch, Mandarin) are advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-first mindset.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality/customer service certification is a bonus.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to thrive in a multicultural, fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and assist with light event setup tasks.
- Impeccable grooming and adherence to company uniform and appearance standards.
