Join The GMP Group as a Junior Fixed Asset Officer for an exciting 12-month contract focused on SAP S/4HANA migration. Responsibility
- Assist in the migration of fixed asset data from legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct physical verification of assets and reconcile discrepancies between system records and actual inventory.
- Prepare and maintain fixed asset registers, including additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation schedules.
- Collaborate with IT and finance teams to test and validate asset-related modules in the new SAP environment.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on fixed assets for management and audit purposes.
- Support the capitalization process for new assets, ensuring compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
- Assist in user training and documentation for end-users on fixed asset processes in SAP S/4HANA.
- Monitor asset retirement and disposal procedures, including gain/loss calculations and journal entries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Basic understanding of fixed asset accounting and depreciation methods (straight-line, declining balance, etc.).
- Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably SAP) is a plus; training will be provided.
- Strong analytical and Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation).
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
- Good communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior internship or experience in accounting, audit, or asset management is advantageous.
