Responsibility
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, peeling, and marinating, under the supervision of senior chefs.
- Support the kitchen team in executing daily menu items while maintaining high standards of taste and presentation.
- Follow food safety and hygiene protocols to ensure a clean and compliant workspace.
- Help with mise en place (prep work) to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
- Assist in plating dishes and ensuring consistent portion control.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and efficient kitchen.
- Learn and adapt to new recipes, techniques, and culinary trends.
- Contribute to inventory management by tracking ingredient usage and reporting shortages.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations (training or culinary school background is a plus).
- Passion for food and a strong willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 10-15 kg).
- Familiarity with food safety standards and personal hygiene practices.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Positive attitude, creativity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
