Responsibility
- Perform a variety of routine and specialized laboratory tests across departments such as Hematology, Biochemistry, and Microbiology.
- Ensure the accurate and timely processing of patient specimens in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation to ensure optimal operational performance.
- Perform rigorous quality control checks and maintain detailed documentation for laboratory audits and accreditation standards.
- Assist in the preparation of reagents and the management of laboratory inventory to ensure zero downtime.
- Participate in departmental training programs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory workflow.
- Communicate effectively with clinical staff regarding test results and diagnostic urgency.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Biomedical Science, Medical Laboratory Technology, or a relevant life science field.
- Registered (or eligible for registration) with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) of Singapore.
- Strong analytical mindset with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment while maintaining strict confidentiality and safety protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective team coordination.
- Proficiency in Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and standard hospital software platforms.
- Willingness to perform rotating shift work including weekends and public holidays as required.
