Responsibility
- Lead the end-to-end technical design and solutioning for Java-based banking applications, ensuring alignment with business and IT strategies.
- Translate functional and non-functional requirements into scalable, maintainable architectures using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
- Oversee code reviews, design evaluations, and technical governance to uphold high standards of quality and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, QA, DevOps) to streamline delivery pipelines and ensure seamless integration.
- Drive best practices in software development, including CI/CD, test automation, and cloud-native deployment (AWS/Azure).
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in financial technology (FinTech) and Java ecosystems to recommend strategic upgrades.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java development, with at least 3 years in a technical lead or architectural role.
- Proven expertise in designing and deploying scalable, distributed systems for financial or enterprise applications.
- Strong proficiency in Java 8+, Spring Framework, Hibernate, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with banking/FinTech domains, including payment systems, core banking, or risk management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications in Java (Oracle Certified Professional) or cloud technologies are a plus.
