Responsibility
- Conduct thorough appraisals of assets, including jewelry, art, real estate, or other high-value items, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Liaise with Japanese-speaking clients to gather requirements, provide consultations, and deliver professional appraisal reports.
- Research market trends, historical data, and comparative analysis to determine fair market value.
- Prepare detailed, well-documented appraisal reports in both English and Japanese as needed.
- Collaborate with sales, legal, and finance teams to support transactions, insurance claims, or asset management.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of appraisal methodologies, regulations, and best practices.
- Attend client meetings, auctions, or site visits to assess items in person when required.
- Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all appraisal activities.
Qualifications
- Fluent in Japanese (spoken and written); no JLPT certification required.
- Proven experience in appraisal, valuation, or a related field (e.g., gemology, real estate, fine arts).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and market conditions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with diverse clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and appraisal software/tools.
- High attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, unbiased assessments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to relocate to or work in Bali, Indonesia (remote/hybrid options may be discussed).
