Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive vendor risk assessments to identify security vulnerabilities and compliance gaps.
- Develop and implement vendor security frameworks aligned with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Monitor and audit third-party vendors for adherence to contractual security obligations and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate identified risks and enforce remediation plans.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Japanese-speaking stakeholders and global security teams, ensuring clear communication.
- Prepare and present detailed risk reports and recommendations to senior management.
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and best practices for vendor management.
- Support the onboarding and offboarding of vendors with rigorous security due diligence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, IT, or a related field; advanced certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC) are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in vendor risk management, information security, or IT compliance.
- Fluent in Japanese and English (written and verbal) with professional business communication skills.
- Proven expertise in security frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR) and risk assessment methodologies.
- Experience working with multinational corporations or financial services firms is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex security data.
- Familiarity with vendor management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, RSA Archer) and security technologies.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
