Responsibility
- Provide first-level technical support to museum staff, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment, including computers, printers, and audiovisual systems.
- Monitor and maintain the museum’s IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with the IT Administrator to implement and update security protocols, safeguarding sensitive data and digital assets.
- Support the deployment and management of museum-specific applications and digital tools used for exhibitions and administrative purposes.
- Conduct regular system backups and assist in disaster recovery planning to ensure data integrity.
- Document IT processes, troubleshooting steps, and solutions for future reference and training purposes.
- Assist in training staff on the use of new software and hardware, promoting digital literacy across the organization.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT support, helpdesk, or a similar role, preferably in a cultural or educational institution.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, as well as common productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
- Familiarity with network configurations, basic cybersecurity principles, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
