As an IT Support Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and optimizing IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations for end-users and systems. Responsibility
- Install, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure components, including Cisco switches, routers, and network devices.
- Provide technical support for Windows and Linux operating systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Manage and troubleshoot virtual machines (VMs) and cloud-based environments.
- Monitor and enhance cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.
- Collaborate with IT teams to resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of SQL databases and Python scripts for automation and reporting.
- Document IT processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing.
- Provide on-the-job training (OJT) and guidance to junior IT staff or end-users as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure support, system administration, or network engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco networking devices, Windows/Linux OS, and virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and tools (e.g., firewalls, SIEM, endpoint protection).
- Basic knowledge of Python scripting and SQL for automation and data management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are a plus.
