Responsibility
- Provide first-level technical support for end-usersā PCs, laptops, and handheld devices, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity problems, ensuring seamless access to company resources.
- Install, configure, and update operating systems, applications, and drivers as required.
- Assist users with account management, including password resets, access permissions, and email configurations.
- Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions in the IT ticketing system.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on IT equipment to minimize downtime and extend hardware lifespan.
- Educate end-users on best practices for IT security, data backup, and device usage.
Qualifications
- A diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience (1-2 years) in IT support, helpdesk, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows/macOS operating systems and common business applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and basic troubleshooting tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator are a plus.
- Willingness to work on a contract basis with potential for extension based on performance.
