Responsibility
- Design, configure, and deploy LAN/WAN, VPN, and wireless networks to ensure high availability and performance.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to enhance speed and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including hardware/software failures, latency, and connectivity problems.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate new technologies, such as SD-WAN, cloud networking, and IoT solutions.
- Conduct regular network audits, vulnerability assessments, and compliance checks to mitigate risks.
- Document network configurations, policies, and procedures for internal knowledge sharing.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and junior engineers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Network Engineer, IT Engineer, or Systems Administrator.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing/switching (Cisco/Juniper), and network protocols.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), VPNs, and network security tools.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark).
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with global teams and stakeholders.
