Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end IT migration projects, including planning, execution, and post-migration validation for on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Develop and implement migration strategies that minimize downtime, mitigate risks, and ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to define migration scope, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Oversee data migration processes, ensuring accuracy, security, and compliance with industry standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
- Optimize system performance post-migration, conducting performance testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage budget and resource allocation for migration projects, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Document migration processes, SOPs, and best practices to streamline future projects and knowledge transfer.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies (e.g., AI, automation, containerization) to recommend innovative migration approaches.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field. Masterâs degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 3 years in migration management (cloud, data center, or enterprise systems).
- Proven track record of leading large-scale migration projects (e.g., AWS/Azure/GCP, SAP, Oracle, or legacy system modernizations).
- Strong knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, and compliance frameworks (e.g., ITIL, COBIT, NIST).
- Certifications in AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, PMP, or ITIL are highly advantageous.
- Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills to align technical and business objectives.
- Experience with scripting/automation tools (Python, PowerShell, Terraform) and migration tools (e.g., AWS DMS, Azure Migrate).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment with a problem-solving mindset.
