Responsibility
- Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware, including desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and networking devices to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues promptly and efficiently.
- Perform regular maintenance, updates, and upgrades on IT equipment to minimize downtime and enhance system reliability.
- Collaborate with IT teams to deploy new hardware, set up workstations, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
- Monitor and manage inventory of IT hardware, including ordering supplies and tracking asset lifecycles to support business operations.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of office and factory networks, including routers, switches, and Wi-Fi access points.
- Document technical issues, solutions, and procedures to create a knowledge base for future reference and training purposes.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies and industry best practices for hardware security and data protection.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an IT Hardware Technician, Desktop Support Specialist, or similar role, with a strong understanding of computer hardware and networking.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting hardware issues, including desktops, laptops, servers, and peripherals.
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with hardware diagnostics tools and software for system monitoring and maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are a plus.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 20 kg) and work in various environments, including offices and factories.
