Responsibility
- Develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate coding curricula for students from primary to high school levels.
- Teach fundamental programming concepts (e.g., algorithms, data structures) using interactive and student-centered approaches.
- Design and facilitate hands-on coding projects, hackathons, or competitions to enhance practical learning.
- Assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, and feedback, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to align teaching methods with educational standards and industry trends.
- Mentor students in problem-solving, critical thinking, and debugging techniques.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and integrate them into the curriculum where applicable.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment that encourages creativity and collaboration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience teaching coding, programming, or IT-related subjects to children or teenagers.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Scratch, Blockly).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage students of varying skill levels.
- Patience, adaptability, and a passion for working with young learners.
- Familiarity with educational tools and platforms (e.g., Code.org, Khan Academy, or similar).
- Ability to create lesson plans, tutorials, and assessment materials tailored to different age groups.
- A growth mindset and willingness to continuously improve teaching methods.
