Responsibility
- Supervise and coordinate daily inventory control activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials.
- Ensure accuracy of inventory records by conducting regular audits, cycle counts, and reconciliations.
- Develop and implement inventory management policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize stock levels.
- Lead and mentor a team of inventory staff, providing training and performance evaluations to ensure high productivity.
- Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and finance teams to forecast demand and prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Utilize ERP or WMS software to track inventory movements, generate reports, and analyze data for continuous improvement.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and system records, implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards in all inventory operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelorās degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Proficient in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, WMS) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
- Knowledge of lean inventory principles, FIFO/LIFO methods, and supply chain optimization.
- Familiarity with ISO standards, GMP, or HACCP (preferred for agribusiness/food industry).
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
