Responsibility
- Source, evaluate, and select international suppliers for food products and raw materials, ensuring quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure the best deals while maintaining compliance with import regulations.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock, coordinating with logistics and warehouse teams.
- Ensure all procurement activities adhere to local and international trade laws, customs requirements, and company policies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, conducting regular performance reviews and addressing any issues promptly.
- Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and cost structures to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, including spend analysis, supplier performance, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure all purchased materials meet the company’s standards and specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the food manufacturing or FMCG industry.
- Proven experience in international sourcing and import/export regulations, including customs documentation and compliance.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel for data analysis).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret market data and make data-driven decisions.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
