Responsibility
- Deliver engaging, age-appropriate computer science lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
- Develop and adapt lesson plans to cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Teach fundamental programming concepts, digital citizenship, and software applications (e.g., Scratch, Python, Microsoft Office).
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and collaboration.
- Assess student progress through projects, quizzes, and interactive activities.
- Integrate emerging technologies (e.g., robotics, AI basics) into the curriculum where applicable.
- Collaborate with parents and staff to support student growth and address learning challenges.
- Stay updated on educational technology trends and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Education, Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent teaching experience).
- Proven experience teaching computer science, coding, or digital literacy to children or teens.
- Strong proficiency in basic programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) and educational tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and parents.
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for making complex concepts accessible.
- Familiarity with child-centered teaching methodologies (e.g., project-based learning).
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment; fluency in English is required.
- Teaching certification or TEFL/TESOL (for non-native English speakers) is a plus.
