Responsibility
- Conduct regular inspections of bridge construction sites to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and report on the quality of materials and workmanship, identifying and addressing any deviations or defects.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to resolve technical and logistical issues.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, including photographs, measurements, and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to environmental and occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations on-site.
- Verify that construction activities align with approved plans, drawings, and methodologies.
- Provide technical guidance and support to site teams to maintain project timelines and quality benchmarks.
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on inspection findings and progress.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) or equivalent professional body.
- Minimum of 7–12 years of experience in bridge construction supervision or inspection.
- Strong knowledge of construction standards, codes, and best practices, particularly in bridge engineering.
- Proficient in using inspection tools, software, and documentation systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure.
- Willingness to travel to project sites in Bali as required.
