Responsibility
- Oversee and manage backend semiconductor manufacturing processes at OSAT facilities, ensuring adherence to quality and efficiency standards.
- Act as the primary technical contact for OSAT partners, providing guidance, troubleshooting support, and process improvements.
- Develop and implement assembly and testing strategies to optimize yield, reduce defects, and enhance product reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, quality assurance, and supply chain, to align on technical requirements and project timelines.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action plans for manufacturing issues, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate and qualify new materials, equipment, and technologies to enhance assembly and testing capabilities.
- Provide technical training and mentorship to junior engineers and OSAT personnel to uphold best practices and standards.
- Monitor industry trends and advancements in semiconductor assembly and testing to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in semiconductor assembly and testing, with a focus on backend processes.
- Proven expertise in OSAT operations, including packaging, testing, and yield optimization.
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, materials, and quality control methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with experience in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to work independently and lead projects in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., JEDEC, IPC) and regulatory requirements for semiconductor manufacturing.
