Responsibility
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct regular security assessments, including vulnerability scans and penetration tests, to identify and mitigate risks.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into system design and implementation.
- Investigate security breaches and incidents, and provide detailed reports and recommendations for remediation.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to continuously improve the organization's security posture.
- Provide security awareness training and education to employees to promote a culture of security within the organization.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of security principles, protocols, and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption.
- Experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and penetration testing tools.
- Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS Controls.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.
