Responsibility
- Operate and maintain industrial sewing machines to produce canvas and tarpaulin products with precision.
- Follow technical specifications, patterns, and work orders to ensure consistent quality and dimensions.
- Inspect finished products for defects, loose threads, or irregular stitching and perform necessary adjustments.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, oiling, and replacing needles or threads as needed.
- Work efficiently to meet daily production targets while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline workflows and troubleshoot sewing-related issues.
- Handle heavy-duty materials such as PVC-coated fabrics, polyester, and reinforced canvas.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with workplace safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating industrial sewing machines (preferably in canvas/tarpaulin production).
- Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail for high-precision stitching.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, patterns, or work instructions.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle heavy materials.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to perform minor machine adjustments and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with different stitch types (e.g., straight, zigzag, overlock) and seam allowances.
