Responsibility
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance for raw materials, equipment, and services.
- Conduct supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract management to secure favorable terms and long-term partnerships.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and cost-saving opportunities using industrial engineering principles.
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and finance teams to align purchasing activities with operational and budgetary goals.
- Monitor inventory levels and lead times to ensure timely procurement and minimize stockouts or excess inventory.
- Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline procurement processes and reduce waste.
- Prepare and present reports and forecasts on purchasing metrics, market trends, and risk assessments to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Masterâs degree is a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the food/agribusiness industry.
- Proven track record in supplier negotiation, cost reduction, and contract management.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, ERP systems, Power BI) and industrial engineering software.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Just-in-Time (JIT), and demand forecasting principles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, GMP) is highly desirable.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and adapt to changing priorities.
