Responsibility
- Operate, monitor, and control industrial boilers and associated equipment to ensure safe and efficient steam production.
- Perform daily inspections of boiler systems, including pressure gauges, temperature controls, and safety valves.
- Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs to prevent downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Troubleshoot boiler malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Maintain accurate logs of boiler operations, fuel consumption, water treatment, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and industry safety regulations, including OSHA and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to optimize boiler performance and energy efficiency.
- Respond to emergency situations, such as pressure leaks or system failures, with appropriate safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a Boiler Operator in industrial, manufacturing, or marine environments.
- Certification in boiler operation (e.g., Industrial Boiler Operator License or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of high-pressure boilers, combustion systems, and water treatment processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and repair.
- Familiarity with safety protocols, PPE usage, and emergency response procedures.
- Physical stamina to work in high-temperature environments and lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Basic computer skills for logging data and generating reports.
