Responsibility
- Operate, monitor, and maintain high-pressure steam boilers and auxiliary systems in compliance with DOSH/JKKP standards.
- Conduct daily inspections of boilers, pressure vessels, and steam distribution networks to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, or thermal issues in steam systems to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and operational records for regulatory audits and internal reviews.
- Implement energy-saving initiatives to improve boiler efficiency and reduce fuel consumption.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, including PPE usage, lockout-tagout (LOTO), and emergency response procedures.
- Train junior operators on steam system operations and safety best practices.
Qualifications
- Mandatory: Valid DOSH/JKKP Steam Engineer Grade 1 or Grade 2 certification.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in boiler operations, preferably in palm oil mills, power plants, or manufacturing.
- In-depth knowledge of steam generation principles, pressure controls, and water treatment for industrial boilers.
- Familiarity with Indonesian occupational safety regulations (e.g., Permenaker, PP 50/2012).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 operational environment.
- Physical fitness to perform field inspections, climb structures, and handle heavy equipment.
- Basic computer literacy for digital monitoring systems and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills in English or Bahasa Indonesia.
