Responsibility
- Perform high-pressure welding on pipelines, vessels, and structural components using SMAW, GMAW, or GTAW methods.
- Interpret and follow complex blueprints, schematics, and welding procedure specifications (WPS).
- Conduct pre- and post-weld inspections to ensure compliance with ASME, AWS, or API standards.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment, including cutting torches, grinders, and pressure testing tools.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols, including PPE usage and hazard mitigation in high-pressure environments.
- Collaborate with engineers and inspectors to validate weld quality through NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) methods.
- Document welding parameters, test results, and maintenance logs for audit and compliance purposes.
- Troubleshoot and repair defective welds or structural weaknesses under minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in high-pressure welding, preferably in oil & gas, energy, or heavy manufacturing.
- Certification in AWS (American Welding Society) or equivalent (e.g., 6G, 6GR).
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and understanding metallurgy (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steel, alloys).
- Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards (ASME Section IX, API 1104).
- Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, or in extreme weather conditions.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina for prolonged standing or kneeling.
- Basic English communication skills for team collaboration and reporting.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali or commute to project sites in Badung, Denpasar, or surrounding areas.
