Responsibility
- Operate and monitor generator sets to ensure continuous and reliable power supply.
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of generator systems.
- Record and log operational data, including fuel consumption, runtime, and performance metrics.
- Conduct pre-start and post-operation checks to verify system integrity and safety compliance.
- Respond promptly to power outages or system failures, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with technical teams to schedule and execute preventive maintenance.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.
- Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new generator units when required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Generator Set Operator or in a similar technical role (minimum 2 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of diesel/gas generator systems, electrical controls, and mechanical components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Certification in electrical or mechanical engineering is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks in various environmental conditions.
- Basic computer skills for data logging and reporting.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
