Responsibility
- Process and prepare import documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs declarations.
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs officials to ensure smooth import operations.
- Monitor shipment statuses and resolve any delays or issues that arise during transit.
- Ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations, tariffs, and duties.
- Maintain accurate records of all import transactions and documentation for auditing purposes.
- Liaise with internal teams to align import activities with company objectives and inventory needs.
- Negotiate freight rates and terms with shipping companies to optimize costs.
- Stay updated on changes in import laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in importation, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of import procedures, customs regulations, and international trade laws.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple shipments efficiently.
- Proficient in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact with suppliers and officials.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian or other languages is a plus.
