Responsibility
- Process and verify import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to facilitate smooth shipment clearance.
- Monitor shipment statuses and proactively resolve delays or discrepancies to minimize disruptions.
- Maintain organized records of all import transactions, ensuring traceability and audit readiness.
- Liaise with suppliers, clients, and government agencies to clarify requirements and obtain necessary approvals.
- Prepare and submit customs declarations and other regulatory filings in accordance with local and international laws.
- Analyze import costs, including duties, taxes, and fees, and provide cost-saving recommendations where applicable.
- Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile import-related expenses and ensure timely payments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in import operations, customs clearance, or international trade.
- Strong knowledge of import regulations, tariff classifications, and trade compliance (Indonesian and international).
- Proficiency in logistics software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English (written and verbal).
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Incoterms, HS codes, and free trade agreements is a plus.
