Responsibility
- Oversee end-to-end import/export shipments, ensuring timely clearance and delivery while adhering to Singapore Customs and international trade laws.
- Prepare, verify, and submit bulk permit applications, trade licenses, and compliance documentation (MES, EAR, etc.).
- Liaise with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and expedite shipments.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of inventory, tariffs, duties, and trade agreements to ensure cost efficiency and legal compliance.
- Develop and implement SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) for logistics workflows, including risk assessment and contingency planning.
- Coordinate with warehouse and distribution teams to optimize storage, handling, and transportation of goods.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes (e.g., Singapore Customs, EAR, MES) and advise management on compliance strategies.
- Generate reports on logistics performance, customs delays, and cost savings for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in import/export logistics, customs compliance, or trade facilitation, preferably in Singapore or ASEAN markets.
- In-depth knowledge of Singapore Customs regulations, MES, EAR, and bulk permit processes.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, WMS) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Experience with incoterms, HS codes, and free trade agreements (FTAs) is a plus.
- Familiarity with dangerous goods handling, temperature-controlled shipments, or specialized cargo is advantageous.
- Certifications such as Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) are highly regarded.
