Responsibility
- Coordinate and monitor import shipments from origin to final destination, ensuring adherence to schedules and regulatory requirements.
- Verify and process import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs declarations.
- Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies to resolve any import-related issues or delays.
- Ensure compliance with local and international trade laws, tariffs, and import regulations to avoid penalties or delays.
- Track and report on shipment statuses, providing real-time updates to internal teams and clients.
- Maintain accurate records of import transactions, costs, and compliance documentation for auditing purposes.
- Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile import-related invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Identify opportunities to optimize import processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in import operations, customs clearance, or international logistics.
- Strong knowledge of import regulations, customs procedures, and international trade compliance.
- Proficient in using logistics software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills (e.g., Bahasa Indonesia) are a plus.
