Responsibility
- Develop and manage competitive import/export rates and pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
- Prepare accurate and timely quotations for clients, considering tariffs, shipping costs, and currency fluctuations.
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure smooth transaction processing.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, shipping costs, and trade regulations to optimize logistics solutions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international trade laws, tariffs, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with sales and finance teams to align pricing with business objectives and client needs.
- Resolve discrepancies in invoices, shipping documents, or customs declarations promptly.
- Generate reports on import/export activities, cost savings, and performance metrics for management review.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in import/export operations, freight forwarding, or international trade.
- Strong understanding of incoterms, customs procedures, and trade compliance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced skills in data analysis and financial modeling are a plus).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with ERP or logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Indonesian) are a plus.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
