Responsibility
- Coordinate and manage the import and export of laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
- Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to facilitate smooth and timely shipments.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.
- Monitor shipment statuses and resolve any delays or issues that may arise during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of all import/export transactions and ensure data integrity in the company’s ERP system.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels.
- Stay updated on changes in trade laws, tariffs, and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce shipping costs and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in import/export operations, preferably in the manufacturing or logistics sector.
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficient in using ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact effectively with stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
