Responsibility
- Prepare and cook high-quality food items in accordance with IKEA’s recipes and standards.
- Assist the Kitchen Production Manager in daily operations, including inventory management and food safety compliance.
- Ensure all dishes are presented attractively and served in a timely manner to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace adhering to hygiene and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the team to develop seasonal menus and special promotions to attract customers.
- Monitor food costs and minimize waste by following portion control and storage guidelines.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to uphold IKEA’s culinary standards.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving kitchen operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Creative mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences.
- Familiarity with Swedish cuisine or willingness to learn IKEA’s food concepts.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items as needed.
