Philippine Global Communications, Inc. (PhilCom) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated IBS/CDAS Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Pasig City. As an IBS/CDAS Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, deploying, and optimizing In-Building Solutions (IBS) and Carrier Distributed Antenna Systems (CDAS) to ensure seamless network connectivity and high-performance mobile coverage in complex environments.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, project managers, and clients to ensure that our infrastructure meets the highest standards of reliability and efficiency. Responsibility
- Design and plan high-performance In-Building Solutions (IBS) and CDAS infrastructure.
- Conduct site surveys, link budget analysis, and propagation modeling to ensure optimal coverage.
- Perform system integration, testing, and commissioning of DAS equipment and related sub-systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve RF interference issues, dropped calls, and connectivity problems within indoor coverage areas.
- Analyze network performance data and implement optimization strategies to enhance user experience.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to manage project timelines and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with telecommunications standards, safety protocols, and local regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support and guidance for ongoing maintenance and upgrades of existing sites.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering (ECE) or a related telecommunications field.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience in IBS/CDAS deployment and network optimization.
- Strong proficiency in RF planning tools (such as iBwave, Atoll, or equivalent).
- In-depth knowledge of GSM, UMTS, LTE, and 5G NR technologies.
- Experience with spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and other RF testing equipment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong communication skills, capable of presenting technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Licensed Electronics Engineer (PECE or ECE) is highly preferred.
