Responsibility

  • Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive hygiene and sanitation policies and procedures in alignment with Marriott International’s standards and local regulations.
  • Lead and supervise the housekeeping and sanitation teams to ensure all areas of the resort—including guest rooms, public spaces, restaurants, pools, and back-of-house operations—meet or exceed cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement, address hygiene risks, and ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with department heads (e.g., Food & Beverage, Engineering, Front Office) to integrate hygiene best practices into daily operations and guest interactions.
  • Train and mentor staff on proper cleaning techniques, chemical handling, waste management, and personal hygiene to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Monitor and manage the procurement, storage, and usage of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment to ensure cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging hygiene technologies, and regulatory changes to continuously enhance the resort’s hygiene programs.
  • Respond promptly to guest feedback or incidents related to cleanliness, implementing corrective actions and preventive measures to uphold the resort’s reputation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in hygiene management, housekeeping, or sanitation within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
  • Proven track record in developing and enforcing hygiene policies, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement in cleanliness standards.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, including local Indonesian laws and international hospitality standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000).
  • Certification in hygiene management, food safety, or a related field (e.g., ServSafe, NEBOSH, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train and motivate teams to deliver exceptional results.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with hygiene management software or digital audit tools is a plus.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, Mandarin) are advantageous.
