Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive hygiene and sanitation policies and procedures in alignment with Marriott Internationalâs standards and local regulations.
- Lead and supervise the housekeeping and sanitation teams to ensure all areas of the resortâincluding guest rooms, public spaces, restaurants, pools, and back-of-house operationsâmeet or exceed cleanliness and safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement, address hygiene risks, and ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with department heads (e.g., Food & Beverage, Engineering, Front Office) to integrate hygiene best practices into daily operations and guest interactions.
- Train and mentor staff on proper cleaning techniques, chemical handling, waste management, and personal hygiene to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Monitor and manage the procurement, storage, and usage of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment to ensure cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging hygiene technologies, and regulatory changes to continuously enhance the resortâs hygiene programs.
- Respond promptly to guest feedback or incidents related to cleanliness, implementing corrective actions and preventive measures to uphold the resortâs reputation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in hygiene management, housekeeping, or sanitation within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
- Proven track record in developing and enforcing hygiene policies, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement in cleanliness standards.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, including local Indonesian laws and international hospitality standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000).
- Certification in hygiene management, food safety, or a related field (e.g., ServSafe, NEBOSH, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train and motivate teams to deliver exceptional results.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with hygiene management software or digital audit tools is a plus.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, Mandarin) are advantageous.
