Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and monitor hygiene and sanitation programs to ensure compliance with local and international food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP).
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of production facilities, storage areas, and equipment to identify and mitigate potential hygiene risks.
- Oversee pest control activities, including coordination with external vendors, to prevent contamination and ensure a pest-free environment.
- Train and educate employees on proper sanitation practices, personal hygiene, and food safety protocols to foster a culture of compliance.
- Investigate and resolve hygiene-related incidents, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to validate and verify sanitation processes, ensuring they meet industry standards and company requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities, inspections, and corrective actions for regulatory reporting and internal audits.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and regulations in food safety and sanitation to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Environmental Health, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in hygiene, sanitation, or quality assurance within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, including HACCP, GMP, and ISO 22000 standards.
- Experience with pest control management and sanitation program development.
- Proficient in conducting audits, inspections, and root cause analysis for hygiene-related issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to train and influence employees at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Certification in food safety (e.g., HACCP, FSSC 22000) is a plus.
