Responsibility
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HVAC systems, including chillers, air handling units (AHUs), VRF systems, and ventilation equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Respond to service calls and emergency breakdowns promptly, minimizing downtime for clients in hospitality, commercial, and industrial sectors.
- Install, commission, and test new HVAC equipment and systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct performance testing, refrigerant leak detection, and system balancing to comply with safety and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to provide technical recommendations and solutions for system upgrades or retrofits.
- Maintain accurate service records, documentation, and reports using Johnson Controlsâ digital tools and platforms.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including proper use of PPE, lockout/tagout procedures, and compliance with local and international HVAC standards.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an HVAC technician, with a strong background in commercial or industrial systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing HVAC equipment, including chillers, boilers, AHUs, and VRF systems.
- Familiarity with HVAC control systems, building automation systems (BAS), and smart building technologies is a plus.
- Valid HVAC certification or license (e.g., EPA 608, RAC, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, electrical schematics, and mechanical components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks at heights.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
