Sports Direct Malaysia is seeking a dynamic Human Resources Manager, Operations to join our rapidly expanding retail team in Bandar Sunway. You will oversee policy implementation, talent management, payroll governance, and ensure that our workforce remains engaged and compliant in a fast-paced retail environment. Responsibility

  • Lead and oversee all HR operational activities, including payroll, benefits administration, and attendance management.
  • Implement and maintain robust HR policies and procedures in compliance with Malaysian Labour Law and internal standards.
  • Drive talent acquisition strategies for retail and corporate positions to ensure high-quality recruitment outcomes.
  • Manage employee relations and conflict resolution to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Supervise performance management processes, including KPIs, annual appraisals, and succession planning.
  • Analyze HR metrics and provide actionable reports to management to support strategic decision-making.
  • Coordinate employee engagement initiatives and training programs to enhance employee retention and morale.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in HR operations, preferably within the retail or FMCG sector.
  • Strong knowledge of the Malaysian Employment Act and statutory compliance (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB).
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills in a multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel preferred).
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
