Based in the vibrant hubs of Bali, Indonesia, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive HR strategies that align with TikTok’s fast-paced, innovative culture.

As a trusted advisor, you’ll partner with engineering leaders to foster a high-performance environment, ensuring our teams thrive in a remote-first, globally distributed setting. Your expertise in HR business partnering, talent development, and employee engagement will be key to scaling TikTok’s engineering operations while maintaining our people-centric values.

Responsibility

  • Serve as a strategic HR partner to TikTok’s R&D and Engineering leadership, aligning HR initiatives with business goals.
  • Develop and implement talent management programs, including performance reviews, career development, and succession planning.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives to boost morale, retention, and productivity in a remote work environment.
  • Provide coaching and conflict resolution support to managers and employees, fostering a collaborative culture.
  • Lead workforce planning and organizational design efforts to scale engineering teams efficiently.
  • Partner with Recruitment and L&D teams to attract, onboard, and upskill top-tier engineering talent.
  • Analyze HR metrics and data-driven insights to identify trends and recommend actionable improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and TikTok’s global HR policies for remote employees in Indonesia.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of HR Business Partner experience, preferably in tech, engineering, or R&D environments.
  • Proven track record in talent development, organizational design, and change management.
  • Strong understanding of remote work dynamics and cross-cultural team collaboration.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with HRIS (e.g., Workday, BambooHR) and data analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with Indonesian labor laws and international HR compliance is a plus.
