Responsibility
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations across multiple resort locations in Bali, ensuring adherence to Shangri-La’s high standards of cleanliness and service.
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of housekeeping staff, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and guest-centric service.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with brand standards and local regulations.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities, coordinating with procurement to ensure timely replenishment.
- Collaborate with front office, maintenance, and other departments to address guest requests, resolve issues, and enhance overall guest satisfaction.
- Develop and implement housekeeping schedules, ensuring optimal staffing levels to meet operational demands during peak and off-peak seasons.
- Monitor and control housekeeping budgets, including labor costs, supplies, and equipment maintenance, to ensure cost-efficiency without compromising quality.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, sustainability initiatives, and innovative cleaning technologies to continuously improve operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in housekeeping, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role within a luxury hotel or resort.
- Proven ability to manage teams, delegate tasks, and drive performance in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping standards, cleaning techniques, and safety protocols, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and management.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin, Japanese) are a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as required by the hospitality industry.
- Certification in housekeeping management or hospitality (e.g., AHLEI, CIEH) is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and perform light lifting for extended periods in a tropical climate.
