Responsibility
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and high-quality service.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to maintain impeccable cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping team members, fostering a culture of excellence and professionalism.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and amenities, ensuring adequate stock levels while controlling costs.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns, resolving issues with a focus on satisfaction and discretion.
- Develop and implement housekeeping policies, procedures, and schedules to optimize productivity.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as front desk and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations and guest experiences.
- Monitor and report maintenance needs to ensure the property remains in pristine condition.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a housekeeping supervisory or managerial role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and colleagues.
- Knowledge of housekeeping best practices, including the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet operational demands.
- Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and inventory management tools is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in hospitality management are advantageous.
