Responsibility
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all hotel electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Respond to guest and staff maintenance requests promptly, diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Maintain and repair HVAC systems, elevators, generators, water pumps, and fire safety equipment to ensure uninterrupted hotel operations.
- Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs, installations, or upgrades, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor energy consumption and recommend efficiency improvements to reduce operational costs while maintaining guest comfort.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety protocols, and environmental standards in all maintenance activities.
- Assist in the planning and execution of hotel renovations or expansions, providing technical expertise and oversight.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory of spare parts, and equipment manuals for future reference.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hotel maintenance, facilities management, or a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC, generators, and water supply.
- Familiarity with fire safety systems, elevators, and building automation systems is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of local safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to liaise with guests, staff, and external contractors.
- Certifications in electrical or mechanical engineering (e.g., SKKNI, K3) are highly desirable.
