Responsibility
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on hotel systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure guest comfort.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and front office teams to address maintenance requests efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory of spare parts, and equipment service histories.
- Ensure compliance with local safety regulations, fire codes, and hotel policies for all engineering work.
- Assist in the installation and upgrading of new equipment or systems as part of hotel renovations or expansions.
- Conduct energy efficiency assessments and recommend cost-saving improvements.
- Provide emergency on-call support for critical maintenance issues outside regular working hours.
Qualifications
- Diploma or vocational certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (or related field).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in building maintenance, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong technical skills in HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and general carpentry.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
